Heat to hold training camp in Bahamas

The Heat will "leave the country for training camp" and "train in the Bahamas for the third time in its 35-year franchise history.” The team will "hold camp on the island of New Providence at Baha Mar, a Grand Hyatt-operated property and one of the largest event venues in the Caribbean.” Baha Mar said that the "training camp arrangement with the Heat is a multiyear deal.” The Heat's previous training camps in the Bahamas in 2013 and 2016 were "held at the Atlantis Paradise Island Resort." In recent years, the Heat "held training camp at FTX Arena (including last season) or in West Palm Beach or Boca Raton." Before the 2010-11 season, the Heat "held training camp at Eglin Air Force Base in Fort Walton Beach" (MIAMI HERALD, 9/16).
