Fehr has led the NHLPA since 2010, and at age 67 he has no plans to retire. The current collective-bargaining agreement doesn’t expire until 2022, but both sides have the ability to opt out after the 2019-20 season. The union also is engaged with the league in talks over whether players should participate in the 2018 and 2022 Winter Olympics.
