LPGA plans streaming coverage for new event

US PGA TOUR

The LPGA is giving a boost to its inaugural event in the Boston area later this month as part of its pact with ESPN+. The FM Championship, held around Labor Day weekend at TPC Boston, will have featured group coverage streaming from the event totaling 40 hours for the week.

The coverage in Boston is part of the deal the LPGA signed with ESPN+ late last year that runs through 2025. That deal calls for eight events to have streaming coverage across 2024 and 2025. The FM Championship will be the third tournament of 2024, with the final one coming at the CME Group Tour Championship in November.

The ESPN+ coverage team for the event includes Will Haskett (host/play-by-play), Amanda Blumenherst (analyst), Amy Rogers (reporter) and Emma Talley (reporter).
