The Dolphins will serve as the home team when the first NFL game is played in Spain next fall. The opponent and date of the game will be announced later this spring. The Dolphins have long been rumored to be the home team when Madrid’s Santiago Bernabeu Stadium hosts the latest installment of the NFL’s International Series. The Dolphins have held global marketing rights in the country since the program was introduced in 2021. The news comes after the Colts earlier this week were named the home team for next year’s game in Berlin. This will mark the eighth regular-season game outside of the U.S. for the Dolphins, the last coming in 2023 when they played the Chiefs in Frankfurt, Germany. They also have played in the U.K. five times and in Canada once (SBJ).
