After 16 years in marketing with Coca-Cola, sandwiched around 17 months as a global account executive at Google, Brad Ross joined America’s second-largest bank as its top sponsorship executive in May. His first order of business: leveraging the bank’s 2026 FIFA World Cup rights. Ross, who was born and raised in South Africa, has a decided edge there: He’s worked on every World Cup since 2010. Also in BofA’s expansive portfolio: rights to the Masters; U.S. Soccer; a Yankees deal that’s more than 30 years old; and the Boston and Chicago marathons.
