Singer Taylor Swift reportedly will not be “rocking the Super Bowl halftime show.” Reports noted that Swift “walked away from playing Super Bowl LX on Feb. 8,” after the NFL “allegedly refused to give in to her demands.” News of the failed deal originated with British pop culture journalist Rob Shuter’s Substack. The NFL has typically not paid performers. A source said, “Taylor Swift doesn’t need exposure. She wanted a deal that reflected her value.” Swift also sought control of the “performance footage,” according to the report. Singer Adele is now “reportedly being considered as an alternative headliner” (N.Y. DAILY NEWS, 9/27).
