Bowl game attendance down 9% from last year

More than 1.7 million fans attended the 47 FBS postseason games since Dec. 13, down 9% from the 2024-25 bowl season. The four first-round CFP games added 311,047 to the attendance ledger this season, with Texas A&M hosting Miami for the round’s biggest crowd (104,122). For comparison, attendance in the inaugural 2024-25 first round was boosted by home crowds at three stadiums with more than 100,000 capacity: Ohio State, Texas and Penn State. The average attendance of the 47 games was 30,600, down 16% from last season’s 46 games, but up over the 2022 and 2023 bowl seasons.
