UC Berkeley hosting Leadership Academy for Women’s Sports

Aiming to strengthen the pipeline of executives shaping women’s sports, UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business is kicking off a three-day program. The inaugural Leadership Academy for Women’s Sports, designed by the Center for Equity, Gender & Leadership at UC Berkeley Haas, runs March 2-4. It includes 35 selected from nearly 100 applicants for the executive education program. KELLIE MCELHANEY is leading the program, which is supported by an advisory committee that includes Bay FC co-founder and former USWNT player BRANDI CHASTAIN, Women’s Sports Foundation CEO DANETTE LEIGHTON, Bay Area Women in Sports + Events President FAYNE COHEN, Bay Area Host Committee COO KARINA HEROLD, Univ. of California Berkeley women’s basketball coach CHARMIN SMITH and many more.
