The NWSL Washington Spirit named SAM MARKS as VP/strategy and analytics. Marks spent the past two years with the Bruins as director/business strategy and analytics.
The NWSL hired BRIAN KELLY from Top Rank Boxing as chief commercial officer and RACHEL EPSTEIN from ESPN as CMO. Kelly and Epstein will assume responsibilities previously housed under JULIE HADDON, who held the combined role before departing in May. Kelly will report directly to NWSL Commissioner JESSICA BERMAN, with Epstein reporting to Kelly. In addition to the C-suite hires, the NWSL added JESSICA GOLDSTEIN from Optimum Sports as VP/partnership management and solutions, while promoting MEG BUCHAN to VP/broadcast and CARLIN HUDSON to VP/strategy.
Women’s soccer multi-club ownership group Crux Football appointed CLAIRE GIACOMETTO as CFO and HOLLY KELLNER as chief of staff. Giacometto most recently served as the PGA European Tour’s CFO and had spent eight years at the Tour. Kellner previously worked at Crystal Palace FC as chief of staff.
LOVB L.A. named PayPal VP and Head of Channel Partnerships ANA MENDY as president. Mendy spent nearly five years with PayPal in leading roles after serving 13 years as a partner with McKinsey & Company.
