THE ATHLETIC’s Amos Morale III noted YouTube TV will now “allow users to customize their multiview.” Users can “use a builder with filters for different categories, including sports, news, shows, movies and other live content offered on the platform.” This means subscribers with NFL Sunday Ticket “can mix and match four NFL games during the season” (THE ATHLETIC, 4/28).

SWITCHING LANES: In L.A., Stephen Battaglio noted Audacy’s L.A. news radio station KNX-AM is “ending its simulcast on 97.1 FM, which will move to a sports talk format on May 11.” The frequency will be “re-branded as the Fan, becoming the first all-sports FM station in the Los Angeles market.” The Fan will launch “without any live play-by-play of Los Angeles teams.” Audacy Chief Business Officer Chris Oliviero said that the company will “look at acquiring audio rights to Los Angeles teams as they become available.” He noted that the Fan will “carry local hosts during daytime hours when KLAC offers syndicated hosts” (L.A. TIMES, 4/28).

BACK FROM BREAK: On Long Island, Anthony Rieber noted sports podcast host Mike Francesa “laughingly responded to internet rumors” that claimed he was dead after an “unexplained two-week absence” from his “The Mike Francesa Podcast.” Francesa revealed that his absence was “due to knee replacement surgery” (NEWSDAY, 4/28).
