This Dwell story about developer-commissioned murals caught my eye, in part because I’m seeing these works of public art everywhere (especially where I live in a fast-developing part of Charlotte), and in part because they will likely be a fixture of many sports-adjacent mixed-use projects. The reactions to them can be quite mixed, but as one of the muralists quoted in the story said, “I think there’s a level of pride if your building has something rad on it.”
