No demand like pent-up demand for Rally House

Rally House is among the retailers that increased their MiLB products, including this display for the Indianapolis Indians.

An intriguing recent hookup between licensed sports emporium Rally House and DoorDash has the retailer promising two-hour delivery. With the championship rounds in arena sports approaching, that’s interesting.

“We wanted to make it as simple to get a Yankees cap, or whatever as it is, to get queso and chips from DoorDash,” said Rally House CEO Aaron Liebert, noting that all RH stores are able to fulfill internet orders directly.

“So far, it’s been mostly jerseys with DoorDash, and we haven’t found any other place to get a jersey delivered in two hours. On the way in, we found there wasn’t a lot of overlap among our customers and DoorDash’s, so it’s a way for us both to reach more consumers.”

Liebert hopes to grow the Rally House store count from 300 to 350 by year’s end. Six years ago, there were 125 locations. That exponential growth has attracted plenty of attention from potential investors, but Liebert insists Rally House will remain family-owned.

“We have no plans to take private equity money and no intention of going public,” he said. “You make better decisions when it’s your own money.”
