The PWHL Players Association posted total income of around $828,000 for the 2025 calendar year, according to an LM2 filing made on Sunday. The vast majority of that total, down slightly from revenue of $1M in 2014, was from a $583,495 commercial rights fee from the PWHL and a nearly $150,000 contribution from the NHLPA.

The union had total disbursements of $508,679. Executive director Malaika Underwood received a salary of $166,667 and total compensation of $199,734. She assumed the union’s top role in March 2025, replacing former NHL executive Brian Burke. Burke had a salary of $75,000 and total compensation of $87,317 in 2025.

The PWHLPA ended 2025 with $1.6M in cash and no liabilities.
