We’ve got a couple parts this week because A) there’s a lot going on in women’s sports right now! And B) this is our place, so we make the rules.

First, Amazon Web Services joined the WNBA’s Changemaker Collective, and the deal will see AWS providing advanced analytics. So I took note of this explainer it did in collaboration with @_sportsball, one of my favorite sports data accounts.

The video breaks down Gravity, a metric AWS and the WNBA are using to show the way players draw defenses. Cool data presented visually in a way that brings the sponsorship to life — we love to see it, nerdy edition.🤓

Next, longtime agent Brant Feldman was on the ground for May 18’s Game 3 of the Walter Cup Finals, which set a PWHL playoff attendance record of 16,894. Brant texted me that the vibes for the fan fest were great and it looked like an awesome time. And peep the crocheted Ottawa Charge sweater — we love to see it, crafty edition!🧶
