Global sports marketing agency Sportfive is bolstering its U.S. ambitions with the hire of former MotoGP and NBA executive DAN ROSSOMONDO, who joins the firm’s North American leadership team. Based in New York, Rossomondo will report to STEVE LOY, Sportfive’s president of Americas. Rossomondo is being positioned as a key driver of the firm’s next phase of U.S. growth.
The hire reflects a broader trend of international agencies beefing up their U.S. presence as brands and rights holders seek partners that can move across markets. Long rooted in Europe, Sportfive is using Rossomondo to more tightly link that base to a deeper push in the U.S., where the fight for premium rights, sponsorship and advisory work remains fierce.
Rossomondo arrives with a mix of league and property-side credentials. The American executive spent 13 years at the NBA before a three-year stint at Dorna Sports and MotoGP, where he was chief commercial officer overseeing global marketing, media and commercial operations as the series pushed its international footprint ahead of its sale to Liberty Media. He announced his departure from Dorna Sports in January, and his work on U.S. strategy, media talks and sponsor development around the property’s lone American race in Austin now feeds into Sportfive’s North American growth plans.
