Florida State saw “significant growth in game-day spending during the most recent athletic year” even as the school ends its hospitality and concessions contract with the Legends and hires Aramark, according to Jim Henry of the TALLAHASSEE DEMOCRAT. FSU’s revenue strategy is “producing results, with football season-ticket sales holding steady for 2026,” despite reporting $437M in athletics-related debt for FY2025. Food and beverage sales totaled nearly $5.9M, including $3.94M from main concession stands and $1.95M from premium areas. Per-capita spending jumped to $19.74, up from roughly $14.50 the previous year. Merchandise revenue also surged, climbing from $1.78M in 2024 to $2.47M this past year -- a 39% increase. FSU also reported a program-record $22.835M in ticket revenue. Football season-ticket sales are tracking “slightly behind last year’s pace.” As of mid-June, FSU had sold 25,027 season tickets -- about 1,000 fewer than the 26,071 sold at the same point last year. FSU AD Michael Alford said that the department “projects finishing just under 28,000 by the start of the season.” FSU sold a record 34,060 season tickets in 2023. FSU officials did not comment (TALLAHASSEE DEMOCRAT, 6/20).
