USA TODAY’s James Williams noted the Warriors’ new multiyear sponsorship deal with AI cloud provider Iren is “expected to be the richest sponsorship in the history of North American team sports” at an average of more than $50M per year, per figures from Sportico. Iren “will be featured on the team’s jersey with a sponsor patch, starting with the 2026-27 season,” while the company will also have “prominent visibility throughout Chase Center” and “will serve as the presenting sponsorship of the Warriors’ annual City Edition platform” (USA TODAY, 6/25).

ALL DECKED OUT: USA TODAY’s Mitchell Northam noted Upper Deck is throwing a “Space Jam” paint scheme on 23XI Racing driver Bubba Wallace’s No. 23 Toyota for the NASCAR eero 400 at the Chicagoland Speedway on July 5 to “commemorate the movie’s anniversary.” 23XI Racing co-owner Michael Jordan starred in the film. The car will be “washed in an interstellar purple with Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck on the hood and an Upper Deck logo on the side.” Wallace will also “wear a ‘Space Jam’ inspired helmet and firesuit” (USA TODAY, 6/25).

LOSING THE FACE: In St. Paul, Keith Schubert wrote that Naz Reid’s trade from the T’Wolves to the Hornets leaves local law firm TSR Injury Law “without the face of its billboard campaign.” TSR has “featured Reid on its billboards across the Twin Cities for the last three years.” TSR, which has worked with the T’Wolves for 20 years, did not say “what its next steps would be after Reid leaves,” but added that the partnership with the franchise “will continue” (ST. PAUL BUSINESS JOURNAL, 6/25).
