Seattle NHL Group Announces Minority Investors

The "minority investment group for a new Seattle NHL team" were announced today: Sounders Owner Adrian HanauerDavid and Jeff Wright, Chris and Ted Ackerley, Amazon Web Services CEO Andy Jassy and BDA Inc. CEO Jay Deutsch. The Ackerley brothers' father, Barry, owned the Sonics from '83-'01, so their addition is "hardly coincidental." David Wright, whose "family owns the Space Needle and other Seattle landmarks," will also become a Vice Chair of the NHL Seattle group (SEATTLETIMES.com, 9/5).
