Golfer Brandt Snedeker today said that the "time is right" for a PGA Tour event in Nashville. Snedeker: "They're always looking at emerging markets and Nashville has popped up on their screen several times. This city is growing so fast that there's a huge opportunity for us to do something special in the golf community." Snedeker already is "involved in the Web.com Tour's Nashville Golf Open Benefiting the Snedeker Foundation," and he "sees that tournament as a proving ground for the PGA Tour." Snedeker: "We've got to show (the PGA Tour) that we can handle an event. It's as simple as that" ( TENNESSEAN.com, 4/30 ).
