The PGA Tour is "returning to the nation's capital" in '21, as that year's Wells Fargo Championship will be played at TPC Potomac at Avenel Farm. Wells Fargo today announced a new five-year extension to title sponsor the event at Charlotte's Quail Hollow Club, and one of the final aspects of the deal had been "where the event would be held" in '21. Quail Hollow is hosting the Presidents Cup that year. TPC Potomac at Avenel Farm hosted Tiger Woods ' Quicken Loans National in its "last two years of existence," most recently in '18 ( GOLFDIGEST.com, 4/30 ).
