ESPN will produce its first event in 4K this weekend. As part of an agreement with Samsung, ESPN will carry six “Samsung QLED Games of the Week” on DirecTV (channel 107), starting with this weekend’s Florida-LSU game. ESPN also plans to make its 4K feed part of its Megacast around the CFP championship game in January. ESPN says it will wait until the week of the game to pick the game it plans to show in 4K.
