Starting Sept. 15, FIFA will begin venue visits to candidate host cities for the '26 North America-based World Cup. The tour, which will start at Gillette Stadium outside Boston and last through Sept. 23, will also feature visits to eight other U.S. cities, including Nashville, Atlanta, Orlando, D.C., Baltimore, N.Y./New Jersey, Philadelphia and Miami. FIFA will visit the remaining candidate host cities across the U.S., Canada and Mexico by the end of November and aim to finalize the selection process by Q1 or Q2 of '22.
