The PGA Tour had its most-watched final round of the season on Sunday at the RBC Heritage, as Matt Fitzpatrick’s win over Jordan Spieth in a playoff earned 4.152 million viewers on CBS, a 13% increase over Spieth’s win last year. The only golf tournament to see a higher viewership figure this season was the Masters, which drew over 12 million viewers.
Sunday’s final round on CBS was the most-watched for the event since the 2002 edition (4.575 million) and was the most-viewed final round on the PGA Tour since Justin Thomas’s win at the Players Championship in 2021. Sunday was the fourth most-watched sporting event of the weekend, only trailing three NBA playoff games. To date, every full-field designated event has seen a year-over-year viewership increase over 2022.
