PGA Tour Policy Board Independent Dir Jimmy Dunne spoke with Golf Channel about the PIF's investment into the PGA Tour, noting there had been a “lot of animosity and a very divisive environment so I went in with my eyes wide open with the hope at some point to be part of the resolution." Dunne: “I thought it was important to visit with ( Yasir Al-Rumayyan ), get to know him, try to understand what were his goals in golf and is there something we could do together where we could unite the game and put all that has happened behind us.” Dunne said the two had a “free flow of ideas” and noted golf is a “force of good in the world.” There were “tense moments” during the discussions, “but we got there and we have something that’s very, very powerful and it will be very good for the game" ( “Golf Central Pregame,” Golf Channel, 6/8 ).
