The Pennsylvania Lottery yesterday launched $5 scratch games featuring the Eagles and Steelers, with prizes "similar for each team." Each ticket has a "dozen chances to win one of six top cash prizes of $50,000," with the total cash awards available equaling more than $15M. The game also offers "hundreds of 'experiential' prizes," including game tickets ( PHILLY.com, 8/18 ). The state lottery is printing 4.3 million tickets for both teams, and together the games are expected to raise about $7.9M in revenue ( PHILADELPHIA DAILY NEWS, 8/19 ). ROUNDUP : The U.S. Coast Guard has signed a deal to be the presenting sponsor of the August 30 WPS All-Star Game at A-B Soccer Park in Missouri. The Coast Guard logo will appear on the front of All-Star jerseys ( WPS )....Fiat and Volkswagen are believed to be "on the verge of joining Citroen and Ford in the World Rally Championship." Running a top rally team "costs a manufacturer about $20M annually" ( FINANCIAL TIMES, 8/17 ).
