U.S. Open Prepping New Marketing Slogans To Focus On Roof Over Main Tennis Court

The U.S. Open tennis tournament for the first time in three years is changing its marketing slogan, focusing on the significant on-site changes this year, including a roof over the main stadium. The campaign begins to break today. The old slogan "Nothing Beats Being Here" has now been retired for "INcredible" and "INtroducing our new roof." “Obviously it worked well with tennis,” said USTA Managing Dir of Marketing Nicole Kankam, referring to the term “in.” “But the idea is we are really inviting our existing fans and potentially new fans to be a part of this brand new U.S. Open.” For the digital side, the Open hired Horizon Media, replacing Digital Surgeon. mcgarrybowen handled creative for the campaign. General ticket sales for the late summer event begin Monday.
