WENDY LEWIS is leaving her position as MLB Senior VP/Diversity & Strategic Alliances to become Chief Global Diversity Officer for McDonald’s. A 29-year baseball veteran who had worked at the league since ’95, Lewis led many of the sport’s diversity and inclusion efforts, including MLB’s Diverse Business Partners Program and the annual Diversity Business Summit. Lewis’ duties will be redistributed internally for now, with a longer-term direction on leadership in this area decided after the postseason. Lewis was an SBJ/SBD "Game Changer" in '12 ( Eric Fisher, Staff Writer ). Lewis began her career in MLB in the Cubs' HR department in '87 ( AP, 9/7 ).
