The Univ. of Kentucky for the first time since '10 is "significantly increasing football season-ticket prices," according to Jon Hale of the Louisville COURIER-JOURNAL. UK's season-ticket packages are "increasing by approximately $4 per game and $30 per package." The $30-per-package increase means "standard season-ticket packages for the seven-game home schedule this fall will cost $310." Premium packages "will cost $350." UK Dir of Strategic Communications Guy Ramsey said that the school "remains in the bottom quarter" of the SEC in season-ticket prices. Ramsey: "Now we’re making the decision to go up to $310 just based on the facility growth and the growth in supporting the student athletes." UK in '16 had announced attendance of fewer than 55,000 fans per game and had "fewer than 52,000 fans at four of its seven home games" (Louisville COURIER-JOURNAL, 2/21).
