Texas A&M's football team produced $69.6M in net revenue for the '15-16 academic year and "helped the athletic department make" $57.2M, according to Ben Baby of the DALLAS MORNING NEWS. Athletics "raised a little more" than $194M in total revenue while "spending approximately" $137.1M. The football program brought in $41.7M in ticket sales and $99.5M in total operating revenue. The school also made $28.7M in media rights and received $8.7M from the SEC. The school's baseball team "turned a profit" of $1.67M. Men's basketball was the "only sport besides football to receive money for media revenue" and tallied a loss of $134,935. Women's basketball had a deficit of $3.84M, the "most of any A&M program" (DALLAS MORNING NEWS, 2/24).
