JASON CAHILLY will step down as NBA Chief Strategic & Financial Officer on June 30. No specific reason was given why Cahilly is leaving the CFO job, but he will continue as a Senior Adviser to NBA Commissioner ADAM SILVER. Cahilly has been CFO of the league since '13 and has reported directly to Silver. He will be replaced by current Senior VP/Team Finance & Strategy J.B. LOCKHART, who was named to this year’s SBJ’s 40 under 40 class and has been with the league since '13. Lockhart has been involved in all major areas of NBA team and league finances, including CBA matters, the NBA’s league-wide financing program, team ownership transactions and arena projects. He will report directly to Silver in his new CFO role. Prior to joining the NBA, Lockhart was a Managing Dir at Teneo Capital and he was a principal at Greenhill & Co.’s venture capital fund. He also previously worked for the Walt Disney Co.'s strategic planning group.
