The first retail store in The Battery Atlanta, the mixed-use development adjacent to the Braves' SunTrust Park, has "stepped up to the plate," as the Mizuno Experience Center opened yesterday, according to Mary Kate McGowan of the MARIETTA DAILY JOURNAL. The Mizuno Experience Center is a "personalized sporting goods store that will help patrons find the best fit in running shoes, baseball and softball gloves, golf clubs and more." The store is the "first-of-its-kind in North America." Mizuno will also have a "presence inside SunTrust Park" (MARIETTA DAILY JOURNAL, 4/11). Meanwhile, Comcast has announced that 16 businesses in The Battery Atlanta have "signed up for the company’s high-speed internet." The DAILY JOURNAL notes Mizuno, the Coca-Cola Roxy Theatre entertainment venue and the 16-story Omni Hotel are "among the businesses that have recently signed up for the service" (MARIETTA DAILY JOURNAL, 4/11).
