Streaming Firm Deltatre Hires Former Google Exec Claude London For U.S. Expansion

Italy-based streaming technology outfit Deltatre has "hired a former Google executive to oversee its expansion into the U.S. market," according to Ourand & Smith of SPORTSBUSINESS JOURNAL. CLAUDE LONDON will "run the company's U.S. operations" as Deltatre Americas President. He will "manage staff in three U.S. offices" -- N.Y., L.A. and a "soon-to-be-opened office" in S.F.'s Bay Area. It is "not clear how many people Deltatre will hire." London said that the positions will "include everything from sales and marketing executives to operations executives." Deltatre Exec VP/Business Development ANDREA MARINI also will move to the U.S. to "build out the company's U.S. business, which is a new focus" for a company already "well-established globally" with a client roster including the ATP, FIFA, EPL and UEFA. London: "It's a strong signal to the market that we are relocating an EVP of the group overall to the Americas to work with me to build up this business" (SPORTSBUSINESS JOURNAL, 5/15 issue).
