The Shriners Hospitals for Children has signed a three-year extension of its title sponsorship for the PGA Tour event in Las Vegas, keeping the event in the city "at least through 2020," according to Brian Hurlburt of the LAS VEGAS REVIEW-JOURNAL. Shriners Hospitals for Children Open Exec Dir Adam Sperling said the event in the future "will be activating the entire Shriners organization in new ways throughout tournament week." He added fans beginning with November's tourney "will see and feel a different presence with several new pieces within the organization being engaged and highlighted." Hurlburt noted the Shriners have been the tournament's "organizer and a major sponsor" since '06. Previous title sponsorship deals have been for five years, but "recent agreements between the PGA Tour and other sponsors have also resulted in similar deals" lasting only through '20 (REVIEWJOURNAL.com, 9/6).
