ESPN's "PTI" Will Travel To Northwestern's Renovated Arena

ESPN's Tony Kornheiser and Michael Wilbon will host "PTI" from Northwestern's newly-renovated Welsh-Ryan Arena on Nov. 16. The show coincides with men's basketball game against Binghamton Univ. Kornheiser, a Binghamton alum, and Wilbon, a Northwestern alum, will work with ESPN play-by-play announcer Will Flemming to call the 7:00pm ET game on ESPNews ( ESPN ). In Chicago, Phil Rosenthal notes admission and parking for "PTI" will "be free." The taping of the show is "expected to run" between 4:15-5:15pm ET. Road trips with both co-hosts have been "relatively rare in 17 years of 'PTI.'" The last time Wilbon and Kornheiser originated their show together away from their DC studio was when they "took the program to Nationals Park" in conjunction with MLB's All-Star Game in July ( CHICAGOTRIBUNE.com, 11/6 ). AWFUL ANNOUNCING's Joe Lucia wrote, "At the very least, this will give people a reason to watch Binghamton-Northwestern" ( AWFULANNOUNCING.com, 11/6 ).
