Magic Partner With U.V. Light Company To Disinfect Locker Rooms

The Magic are deploying "germ-killing U.V. machines in their facilities" in partnership with locally-based Violet Defense to "reduce the risk of MRSA infection among athletes," according to Naseem Miller of the ORLANDO SENTINEL. This is the "first partnership of its kind in the NBA." The Magic are installing Violet Defense's mobile U.V. machine S.A.G.E. in the "locker rooms, training and weight rooms, and dining and medical areas." The team is also "planning to add the technology to family areas to disinfect children's play areas, the nursery and bathrooms" (ORLANDO SENTINEL, 1/12).
