UConn AD David Benedict said he is "still working" on a TV deal for the school's football team, and though he has nothing to announce currently, he is "very confident" they will end up on linear TV, according to Alex Putterman of the HARTFORD COURANT. UConn's decision to compete as an independent beginning next season "means the school must negotiate its own football TV agreements." Benedict has "previously mentioned SNY as a potential television home" for football. SNY President Steve Raab said earlier this year that he would be "open to a deal as well" ( HARTFORD COURANT, 12/9 ).
