The NFL Panthers are "replacing their concessions vendor of 10 years, Delaware North," with Chicago-based Levy Restaurants, according to Joe Bruno of Charlotte-based WSOC-ABC. Levy currently operates concessions at Spectrum Center, Charlotte Motor Speedway and BB&T Ballpark, home of the Triple-A Int'l League Charlotte Knights. Levy also is "connected to two stadiums trying unique fan experiences" in Mercedes-Benz Stadium and Levi's Stadium. Whether the Panthers "pivot to friendlier pricing will ultimately be up to owner David Tepper and whatever the team's new contract with Levy dictates." Delaware North workers will be able to "transition to work for Levy." Delaware North in an email to its workers said that the Panthers also are "no longer using them for retail services." But Levy is "not overseeing retail" for the team. The Panthers "have not announced their new merchandise manager" (WSOCTV.com, 2/13). VENUES NOW first reported the switch earlier this week.
