Stephen Ross breaks in Dolphins' new training facility with ceremonial slide

The Dolphins’ new training facility has an "oversized indoor playground slide adjacent to their new weight room," prompting Owner Stephen Ross to take it "for a ride Thursday as team personnel toured the building," according to Safid Deen of the South Florida SUN-SENTINEL. Ross "spent approximately" $135M to construct the team’s new practice facility, which "will be used for the first time during Dolphins training camp in late July." The Dolphins will "transition to the new facility in the next month and leave their Davie facility at Nova Southeastern University, where they have been headquartered" since '93. Dolphins coach Brian Flores on Thursday said, "I’ve been down there several times. It is just a credit to Steve Ross and the investment he’s made in the team and really spared no expense to create a state-of-the-art facility for us" (South Florida SUN-SENTINEL, 6/18).
