Whoop, Hyperice partner for data integration allowing users to quantify recovery activities

Whoop and Hyperice have announced the first in a series of partnership activations in which users of both technologies will be able to share data, via Apple Health, to quantify their recovery activities. Those who use Hypervolt or Normatec devices can see changes in their Whoop-monitored biometrics and see recommendations for recovery routines based on their physical activity.

NFL MVP quarterback Patrick Mahomes, whose Kansas City Chiefs won on Sunday to advance to Super Bowl LVII, is an ambassador for both brands, as is golfer Rory McIlory. As part of both companies’ respective partnerships with the PGA Tour, Whoop and Hyperice will study the impact of recovery technology as used by golfers, caddies and Tour staff.

“To be able to utilize this integration to understand how Hyperice and its products support my recovery through tangible data will be a game-changer for me and any athlete looking to take their training to a new level through a better understanding of the role recovery plays,” Mahomes said in a statement.
