Springbok Analytics partners with mobile MRI provider for faster scans

Springbok Analytics, which creates 3D digital twins of athletes’ musculature based on MRI technology, partnered with a mobile MRI provider to scan the lower extremities of athletes in less than 20 minutes. The first deployment is with the University of Wisconsin’s men’s and women’s basketball teams where Springbok began working with Shared Medical Services to use the GE SIGNA Voyager AIR Edition Mobile MRI, whose small mechanical footprint fits in a trailer parked outside the athletic venue.

The Charlottesville-founded Springbok Analytics works with teams, leagues and athletes in the NBA, NFL, MLB, NHL and NCAA. It raised a $3 million seed round in April and is completing its term in the NBA Launchpad Program, with a Demo Day presentation tonight at the Summer League in Vegas.
