Cowboys' Planned Facility In Frisco Clears Final Political Hurdle

The Frisco (Texas) City Council during a “special Saturday meeting” approved the sale of $90M in bonds to fund the Cowboys' new team HQs and practice facility. It was the “final step of financial approval the city needed for the massive project.” Frisco Mayor Maher Maso indicated that construction “must be complete by the 2016 NFL season.” An official groundbreaking "will take place in August." The facility also will be used by the Frisco school district and “will have retail, residential and office space” ( DFW.CBSLOCAL.com, 7/5 ).
