The XFL has hired Mali Friedman as its first VP/Business & Legal Affairs. Friedman has been an Assistant General Counsel for the Warriors since '17. Prior to that, she was Senior Counsel at the NHL from '14-17, and an associate at Covington & Burling from '06-14. Friedman starts today, reporting to XFL President & COO Jeffrey Pollack . She is the third senior female exec in the XFL’s employ, following team presidents Heather Brooks Karatz (L.A. Wildcats) and Janet Duch (N.Y. Guardians).
