The new season of "Hard Knocks" chronicling the Cowboys’ training camp/preseason premieres tonight at 9:00pm ET on HBO and HBO Max. Director Shannon Furman's "desire" is for this five-episode season, the 16th overall, to "cast more light on established players and personalities than in certain years past." NFL Films "sent a 34-person crew to Southern California, some staffers arriving as early as July 12, eight days before Cowboys players and coaches landed." A "few members of the Cowboys organization," including coach Mike McCarthy, "met with Furman on Monday morning to screen the first episode’s footage and provide any edits they had" (DALLAS MORNING NEWS, 8/10).
