UCF zeroes in on naming rights for football venue

UCF has "found a new naming rights partner" for its on-campus football stadium, as the UCF Athletics Association is "finalizing a deal" with 3MG, a construction company located in Orlando. Documents show that a Letter of Intent was "executed for a twelve-year, $20 million agreement to name the stadium the '3MG Stadium.'" The deal is "pending the Board of Trustees' approval, which will meet for a special virtual meeting on Wednesday." If approved, the deal "would go into effect on Sept. 1." This past January, 3MG "became the official roofing partner of UCF Athletics." The stadium had been "named Spectrum Stadium since 2017, following the rebranding of Bright House Sports Network, a local cable company" (247SPORTS.com, 8/9).
