Discover taking over as Winter Classic title sponsor

Discover will be the title sponsor of the '22 Winter Classic on TNT, featuring the Wild hosting the Blues on Jan. 1 at Target Field. The company, which has been an NHL sponsor since '10, declined to specify the length of the deal. Bridgestone had been the event’s title sponsor for 11 consecutive years up through the most recent rendition in '20. Discover now also has a larger media buy with Turner Sports for the '21-22 NHL season, which will be the first of the company’s new seven-year NHL media rights deal. Throughout the upcoming campaign, Discover will sponsor Turner’s second intermission report and have additional exposure across Bleacher Report platforms. Discover’s media buy was led by its media agency of record Spark Foundry, a global agency within the broader Publicis Media portfolio.
