The Jets and Nike today are expanding their high school girls flag football league in celebration of National Girls & Women in Sports Day. The league will grow to 42 teams across Long Island and New Jersey, expanding from eight that began with the program last year (SBJ).

Univ. of Kentucky athletics has agreed to a new partnership with Mercury, which builds NFT platforms for teams and brands. JMI Sports, the Wildcats’ multimedia rights holder, brokered the deal. Mercury’s platform, Blue Chips, started with the men’s basketball team as an NIL program and it now will have rights to use Kentucky’s marks to help promote Blue Chips NFTs (Michael Smith, SBJ College).
