Strong Q4 helps WWE to record FY revenue

WWE reported a 30% jump in revenue in Q4 as the "company’s live events resumed" (DOW JONES NEWSWIRES, 2/3). WWE also announced full-year record revenues of over $1B, during a year "where more than 80 WWE Superstars were released from their contracts in addition to steep front-office cuts as the promotion sought cost-cutting and profitability." This year also saw the launch of WWE Network content on Peacock. For Q4, revenue was $310.3M. Operating income increased 131% to $83.6M. FY '21 revenue increased 12% to $1.095B, "the highest in the Company’s history." FY operating income increased 24% to $259.0M (FORBES.com, 2/3).
