Michigan-based Holland Hospital has cut ties with Vikings QB Kirk Cousins, who has "declined to answer questions regarding his COVID-19 vaccination status." The hospital in a statement said that while it “appreciates the work Cousins has done … over the years, they need to be sure anybody speaking on behalf of Holland Hospital is in lockstep with its position on vaccinations” (HOLLAND SENTINEL, 8/6). A hospital spokesperson “reiterated that Cousins' sponsorship with the hospital could resume in the future if his stance on the vaccine aligns with the hospital's mission” (Minneapolis STAR TRIBUNE, 8/6). Cousins, whose hometown is Holland, Mich., “had partnered with the hospital's sports medicine program since 2017” (ESPN.com, 8/6).
