Rams' McVay passing on TV opportunities

Rams coach Sean McVay is "not pursuing any television opportunities," and is "committed to helping" the Rams defend their Super Bowl title (ESPN.com, 2/25). Amazon Prime Video were "planning on meeting next week" with McVay about "him becoming an NFL TV game analyst." Sources "felt the platform might go as high as" offering five years and $100M for its exclusive "Thursday Night Football" package in the fall. McVay also had "interest" from Fox (N.Y. POST, 2/26).

Meanwhile, a source said that former Saints coach Sean Payton is "in negotiations" with Fox Sports and could "sign on to become its No. 1 game analyst." Payton is "competing against" former NFLer Greg Olsen for "the spot in the booth next to top play-by-play man" Joe Buck (New Orleans ADVOCATE, 2/26).
