WEEI-FM's Brian Barrett has been hired by The Ringer "to host a new Boston-specific podcast" that is intended to be launched "later this month." The Ringer previously "launched successful city-specific podcasts" for N.Y. (with John Jastremski) and Chicago (with Jason Goff) in 2021 (BOSTON GLOBE, 8/6).
